Hot Air Balloon Festival 2011

I went down to spend the weekend with J-rod. It was the perfect weekend because it was the hot air balloon festival and I had friday off. I flew down friday morning and Jared picked me up. He took me to the waffle house for breakfast and then we went to the aquarium. It was so much fun. He even got me to touch a sting ray! After that he surprised me and took me to the Aerial Tramway. It was so cool. The Tram took us up to the top of the Sandia Mountains. The view was beautiful. The weather was not very good this weekend. It snowed while we were up at the top. I think cold weather follows me wherever I go, haha. The weather made it so we couldn't see them light up the balloons that night. We went and saw Real Steel and I must say that I loved it!

We woke up the next morning and luckily the weather cooperated with us and we got to go to the balloon festival. It was still very cold and my shoe choice sucked because I walked around with cold wet feet all morning. It was ok though because it was so cool and so worth it. I think hot air balloons are so cool and it was awesome to see so many of them. Later, we went to Santa Fe. It was a cool little town. We had fun walking around and then we just chilled at the hotel the rest of the night. On Sunday, we went and looked at puppies for Jared. I don't really love dogs but puppies melt my heart. He didn't get one but he ended up getting a couple a few weeks later. We went and saw the Lion King since I wanted to see it in the theatre. We ate at Panda, which seems to be a new tradition, and then I was off to the airport. The trip was way to short but I had a lot of fun. I am so glad that I was able to go spend a few days with Jared. Thanks Jared for the fun weekend!

Ac's birthday was coming up and who knew that Ac has always wanted to go skydiving. Well I knew he was going and I was super excited for him. I have always thought it would be cool to go but it wasn't at the top of my lists to do. Well the night before Ac's big jump, I was hanging out with him. We played games at his Grandma's and then we went down and hung out at Kesia's & Brittany's place. I don't know how he talked me into it, (Ok lets me honest it wasn't that hard) but by the end of the night I said I would go, it was really late what can I say. I didn't tell anyone and honestly I went thinking that it was to late to actually do it. Well they made room for me on the plane and Ac and Emily talked me into it. I was excited but also a little nervous. The plane ride up felt like forever. I was the first one to jump. It was so INCREDIBLE! After I jumped the butterflies in my stomach went away. Here I am falling and it didn't even feel like it. It was such a strange feeling. The only part I didn't like was when the chute was pulled. That hurt. haha. It was all worth it though. The view was beautiful. What an experience. I am so glad that Ac talked me into going. Skydiving is awesome and I can't wait to go again.

Turning 26 didn't seem so bad after turning 25. September put me in a funk, and I usually don't like birthdays but I wanted/needed to go out and have some fun with my friends. A few days before my birthday, Cami called me up to confirm a few things. I gave her a list of a few people that I wanted to come to Cheesecake factory with. Well the big day came and I loved getting all the texts, calls, and facebook messages. I got a little confused because a few people that I wanted at dinner had texted me and asked me what I was doing for my birthday. I don't know what I was thinking, so thinking that maybe a few people didn't get invited to dinner I sent out a text to a few people. haha! Little did I know that I was making life difficult for a few people. After work, I had to go to the DMV to get my license renewed. I tried to get this done the day before but after waiting for over an hour I got kicked out when it closed. I ran home to get ready to go out and party. Cami surprised me and decorated my room. Balloons Galore! It was so awesome! Thanks Cami! Cami was going to go early to get our name on the list so she arranged for AC to come and pick me up. My dinner party consisted of AC, Cami, Jessie, Gentry, Kehly, Brittani J, Brittany S, and Talisha. It was so much fun. We waited for a long time but the food was totally worth it.  Cami left early to go get the cake ready at my parents house. I thought it was a little weird but didn't even think much about it. I got me some cheesecake and was not in a hurry at all. We finally left and were heading to my house for dessert and some games. I was the last one up to my door and I told all my friends that they could have just walked in. I walked in and I just about peed my pants. SURPRISE!!! I was so shocked, I honestly couldn't believe it. It seriously felt like time stopped. As I looked around my packed house I saw my friends from high school, my friends from college, and my friends from my singles ward. I couldn't believe the love and support that all my friends through the years had for me. A huge thank you goes out to Jessie, Cami, AC, and my parents. I have the best friends in the world. It was exactly what I needed. I was reminded of how important friends are. I have made some of the most amazing friends and have so many awesome memories from all the people that came. I felt bad that they all waited for me forever. Haha! But in my defense I had NO IDEA (I still don't know how I didnt suspect anything) that this was happening. Best Birthday ever! Thanks for everyone that came and making me feel the love, you will never know how much I needed this!
